Are you passionate about working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you want to play an essential role in helping children reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive school community in the Bracknell area.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers to provide tailored support for students with a range of SEND. You’ll be an integral part of a team that strives to create an inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive, academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEND, both in and out of the classroom.
* Assist in the creation and implementation of personalised learning plans (PLPs) for students with diverse needs.
* Support students in their academic tasks, fostering independent learning and confidence.
* Help to manage behaviour and ensure the students' emotional and social development is nurtured.
* Work alongside teaching staff to track student progress, providing feedback and making adjustments as necessary.
* Encourage positive social interaction and support students in developing their communication skills.
* Ensure that students are safe, happy, and fully supported throughout their learning experience.
What We’re Looking For:
* A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting those with SEND.
* Previous experience in a similar role, or a strong desire to learn and develop within an educational environment.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, parents, and staff.
* Patience, empathy, and a calm, adaptable approach to working with children.
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.
