RAF Halton, Aylesbury, Bucks Job Summary The Contract Monitoring Team (CMT) Admin Officer (AO) role provides vital support and resilience to the CMT and Station Services Squadron (SSS). This position is key to the support functions of RAF Halton that enable its personnel to deliver the required output. The role requires a proactive and enthusiastic individual who at times will be required to work autonomously, prioritising tasks and building good working relations with the Industry Partners and station personnel. This position number is advertised at 37 hour per week. The roles direct line manager is the Flight Sergeant CMT, however, in the nature of the role they’ll also report to the SSS WO. Their attendance at numerous meetings which are attended by the Industry Partner and the station leadership team will be required and will include some minute/record taking. They will investigate any complaints that are brought to the attention of the CMT, whilst working closely with industry partners to ensure the standards defined in the contracts are maintained. They will submit any occurrences on the Defence Infrastructure Organisation’s (DIO) report and portal, and the Industry Partners helpdesk. There will also be a requirement to carry out duties for WO SSS which include checking of crown feeding accounts, monthly checks of retail facilities, plus any other admin task required to support the CMT with regards to Hestia and Hades contracts. You will have good verbal and written communication skills and will be comfortable working alongside and communicating with a range of stakeholders including whole force personnel and defence industry partners. This supporting role will require an incumbent who is able to multi-task, have good quality IT skills, be able to form and maintain relationships and hold impeccable organisational skills. You will be comfortable carrying out assurance tasks and presenting and briefing your findings. The incumbent will be required to develop a detailed knowledge of contract management outputs quickly in order to do this. As part of the Better Defence Estate Strategy it was announced that RAF Halton would be closing 2027. The scope and potential relocation of posts is still to be identified. Probation will normally last for six months. However, in certain roles, where specific training or qualifications are required, probation may last up to 12 months.
