Main duties of the job
The successfulcandidates will be based at Washington Galleries Health Centre, however will be required to work at any of our siteswhich includes South Tyneside (ST) Hospital, Palmer hospital, Moorlands withinST hospital and Community Clinics in Sunderland and South Tyneside districts..
The shiftpatterns are usually 8am-6pm Monday to Friday.
You will bejoining a team across sites of Senior Nurses/RNs and HCAs who are dedicated toproviding the highest standards of patient care. Working with Clinicians andAHP from a wide range of specialties you will provide Nursing support to adiversity of patient caseloads.
There areopportunities to develop within the Out Patient setting and to attend relatedstudy days locally and nationally

To beresponsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective and compassionatenursing care for patients designated to their care.
To alwayswork to the NMC Code
Tosupervise non-registered staff as stipulated by the NMC under the requirementsof delegation.
Provideeffective leadership and assist with the management and organisation of theward/department in the absence of the Ward Manager or Junior Sister / ChargeNurse.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Current NMC Registration (Level 1 adult nurse) or evidence of qualification if newly qualified
2. Diploma in health related study or equivalent appropriate qualification
Desirable
3. Degree in nursing studies or healthcare related subject (UK equivalent)
4. Mentorship certificate/ Practice Assessor training or demonstrable equivalent experience
Skills and Knowledge
Essential
5. Ability to provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information
6. Able to work without supervision
7. Competent in the use of IT such as Microsoft Office
8. Evidence of CPD
9. Knowledge of national health and social care policy
10. Knowledge of evidence based guidelines NICE guidelines, NPSA alerts, current nursing legislation
