Role Overview: As a Senior UI/UX Designer at Philanthrify, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience of our donation marketplace. Collaborating with a dynamic team of developers, designers, and product managers, you’ll design interfaces that are both beautiful and intuitive, empowering users to track the impact of their donations in real-time. This is a part-time role designed for a creative thinker who is passionate about user-centred design and wants to contribute to an exciting new fast-growing startup. Key Responsibilities: UI/UX Design Leadership: Lead the design of web and mobile interfaces for our SaaS donation platform. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that enhance user engagement and accessibility. Build on a foundation currently held to design systems and style guides to ensure a consistent brand identity across all platforms. Designing any marketing materials. User-Centric Approach: Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to inform design decisions. Translate user needs and feedback into elegant, functional design solutions. Advocate for the end-user by ensuring an exceptional, inclusive, and seamless experience. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and iterate on requirements. Present design concepts and rationale to internal teams and incorporate feedback effectively. Stay Ahead of Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design. Propose innovative design solutions to address user and business challenges. Qualifications: 5 years of experience as a UI/UX designer, preferably in SaaS or fintech platforms. A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in user-centred design, responsive layouts, and complex workflows. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar. Experience conducting user research and usability testing. Solid understanding of design systems, accessibility standards, and front-end development practices. Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions. Passion for making an impact through ethical design and a commitment to our mission. Nice to Have: Familiarity with blockchain and AI-driven applications. Experience working in the nonprofit or social impact sector. Experience in HTML, CSS, and TS/JS development in React Framework.
