Are you an experienced Network/Voice Engineer looking for an exciting new challenge? Our client, a reputable organisation based in Kidlington, is seeking a motivated individual, who holds TSPN experience, to join their team on a temporary basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving network or Voice problems following agreed procedures. You will utilise network management software and tools to collect performance statistics and carry out maintenance tasks and agreed network changes to support project requirements.
The key result areas of this role include:
* Using network management tools to collect routine network load and Voice statistics, model performance, and create reports to report on SLAs.
* Creating reports and proposals for improvement to support the delivery of agreed service levels and continuous improvement in meeting policing needs.
* Identifying and resolving operational problems to ensure the delivery of agreed service levels.
* Implementing agreed network or Voice changes and maintenance routines to support the delivery of agreed service levels and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, the following knowledge and skills are essential:
* Experience in PSTN (Public Switch Telephone Network) is essential
* Strong understanding of how IT and Voice networks impact the organisation's policing and business objectives and processes.
* Ability to articulate technical designs and principles to a non-technical audience.
* Holds a recognised IT Networking qualification, or equivalent experience in a similar size organisation.
* Good understanding of network systems, networking protocols, and standards.
* Must have the capability to travel to different locations across the organisation and undertake assignments in a timely manner.
