About The Role
We have an exciting and varied role within our ambitious Bespoke Events Team managing our amazing Memory Walks where thousands of incredible people come together to walk for a future where dementia no longer devastates lives! You will support the growth, development, and delivery of our Bespoke Events portfolio, project managing a portfolio of Bespoke fundraising events. You will strategically plan, grow, develop and maximise the events, including driving recruitment and fundraising for the Society. Whilst also contributing to the Events Teams’ wider goals and strategy. In this role you will:
1. Plan, organise and manage a range of Memory Walk events with internal and external stakeholders to ensure success.
2. Lead on delivery of event project areas including volunteers, event and series evaluations, stewardship and on-the-day activations.
3. Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure Memory Walk agreements are adhered to, and information is shared in a timely manner.
4. Experience in budgeting and financial knowledge. You'll build, monitor and manage income and expenditure budgets, along with participant numbers, to ensure we hit our aspiring targets.
5. Project management/organisation experience.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience on an exciting event series and is suitable for someone looking to take the next step in their events career.
About You:
We are looking for a dedicated and organised individual, who will create innovative ways to achieve targets, and thrives in busy environments. The successful applicant will have direct experience in event delivery, managing complex projects and working with external and internal stakeholders, and be comfortable taking ownership of a project.
You will:
1. Be comfortable organising, planning and delivering events, successfully.
2. Make data-led decisions and problem solve to ensure we hit our ambitious team targets.
3. Have the skills to recruit and manage volunteers at events.
4. Possess the ability to problem solve and work under your own initiative whilst collaborating with peers.
5. Be a great communicator who can build strong relationships both internally and externally.
6. Have a strong attention to detail.
