To liaise with professionals e.g. GP at start of treatment, at review and discharge To provide evidence-based drug and alcohol interventions in line with guidelines e.g. NICE, CQC, in a variety of settings promoting flexibility and choice for service users. To maximise engagement with service users and reduce the risks both to the individual service user and to others affected by their drug and/or alcohol misuse. To facilitate service users and carers to be involved in care and treatment. To work as an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team ensuring effective communication with other team members and other professionals. To attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary and multi-agency clinical meetings. To receive and participate in clinical supervision in accordance with Trust policy.
