Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a leading engineering consultancy in the appointment of a Process Technician based in South-East London. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in improving operating performance of commercial and industrial facilities in line with safety and company procedures across a power plant.
Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring, inspecting and controlling plant parameters.
2. Provide appropriate first line defect repair.
3. Interpret plant operations and control these through the plant DCS.
4. Provide plant start-up and shutdown services and participate in emergency shutdown procedures.
5. Follow targets and direction ensuring SHEQ compliant operations and maintenance.
6. Suggest ideas and recommendations to continually improve operations.
Requirements:
1. Time served apprenticeship (NVQ 3) in an engineering or process discipline.
2. Shift pattern work experience.
3. Experienced contributing to continuous process/production environments.
4. Experienced in fault finding, root cause analysis, problem solving, first line defect repair and data monitoring.
5. Follow procedures, systems and processes.
6. Safe System of Work processes & procedures: Permit to work; risk assessments & method statements.

Shift pattern inclusive of days & nights - 5 on, 4 off, 5 on, 5 off, 4 on, 12 off.
