Pay: Leadership Scale 25-31
The Governing Body of Ysgol Bro Gwaun are seeking to appoint a new Headteacher for September 2025. The successful applicant will have the vision and ability to lead, inspire and motivate the entire school community.
Applications are invited from experienced, energetic and inspiring leaders, to build on our strong foundations and to lead the school firmly into the next phase of its development.

At Ysgol Bro Gwaun, we believe that every child can achieve great things. By working together as a supportive community, we ensure that every pupil reaches their full potential. We are an inclusive and welcoming school, where students of all backgrounds and abilities are valued and respected. Whilst we are proud of our pupils' achievement both academically and across many other aspects of school life, we are firmly committed to continuous improvement. Second best is not good enough for our pupils and, in return, we expect nothing but the best from them. We teach our pupils that disadvantage is not a barrier to success, and that education is the basis from which choices and pathways in life are made.
Our mission statement is 'Always our best; For our school, for others, for ourselves' and we are proud to be a fully bilingual learning community. We actively promote 'Family Bro Gwaun' and pupils enjoy their school lives and are very proud of their school. Every decision is made in the best interests of students.
We provide a supportive and caring environment, uphold standards of discipline, dress, courtesy and good manners, where every student can develop self-reliance and self-discipline. We want all of our pupils to grow into confident, caring and lifelong learners.
