About the Apprenticeships: We are offering exciting apprenticeship opportunities within our Finance Department. These roles provide comprehensive on-the-job training and external development through recognised accountancy qualifications. You will gain experience across four core financial pillars, ensuring a professional, technical, and innovative financial function that meets the needs of the Council and its services: Transactional Finance & Systems Business Planning & Performance Management Statutory & Technical Financial Accounting / Internal Audit Insurance, Risk, and Procurement Key Responsibilities: Perform reconciliations (VAT, payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, CIL). Maintain elements of the Financial Accounting Systems. Allocate and reconcile cash received and paid out. Prepare, check, and post system journals. Assist in budget setting and monitoring. Attend finance meetings with other service areas. Prepare financial statements and assist in account close-downs.
