Synopsis:
The Senior Learning Experience Designer (LED)will be responsible for designing and developing high quality language learning experiences, employing learningand human-centreddesign principles together with new, innovative technologies. As an LED, you will play a critical role in creating the end-to-end learning process – including learning needs identification, analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation. The LED also partners with members of the product team and other stakeholders to design holistic learning solutions thatmeet organization and business objectives.
The Role:
The Senior Learning Experience Designer (LED) will have a passion for working with cutting-edge technologies and their potential in education. You will also have a strong background working with digital learning materials in addition to prior experience in language learning, ideally as both learner and instructor, which you will use to help shape the next generation of digital language learning solutions. To be successful in your role, you will be required to work flexibly across functions and cultures, using effective communication and productivity tools. You will also be comfortable working with and managing remote freelance teams to deliver projects to deadline.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collect/Develop requirements for new learning solutions;
2. Create and Review learning materials and knowledge assessments across various internal platforms;
3. Use available data to evaluate the project results and suggest ways of improving them;
4. Hire, train and manage freelance writers and editors;
5. Collaborate effectivelyas part of a cross-functional project team to meet project objectives;
6. Coordinate cross-functional communication of on-going project needs and development progress;
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new tools and tech within the language learning and wider educational eco-system;
8. Work independently to achieve project goals and meet challenging deadlines.
Knowledge and Skill requirements:
9. Master’s degree or equivalent in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or Linguistics
10. Experience in EFL/ELT materials development, preferably for online learners
11. Experience working in editorial project and people management
12. Demonstrated familiarity with language standards and frameworks (e.g. CEFR)
13. Digital media skills and ability to work in a technological setting
14. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to consistently meet deadlines
15. Proven interpersonal skills for stakeholder communication
16. Strong written communication skillsapplied to learning materials development
17. A desire to innovate in the area of education
