Principal Engineer – Safety role involves providing advice on product safety matters, engaging with third parties, and line managing other safety practitioners.

* Providing advice on product safety matters to project and engineering managers
* Engaging with third parties to review and gather supporting Design Safety Justification (DSJ) report evidence
* Developing safety arguments and producing safety management documentation using appropriate regulations and standards
* Line managing other safety practitioners in your team
Essential skills and experience include:
* Degree-level qualification in a relevant STEM subject (Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science)
* Broad knowledge of industry safety standards (such as Def Stan and IEC 61508)
* Demonstrable experience in safety engineering activities in the defence, maritime, or a relevant highly regulated domain
