Job Title: Senior Visualisation Engineer
Location: Clevedon, North Somerset

Hours: 37.5 hours
Responsible for:
Supporting the continued growth and success of the enterprise in a robust and cohesive team.
The role holder will be responsible for design, development, implementation and support of visualisations utilising Power BI and other visual tools globally across technology platforms for both on-premises and cloud solutions, including working across departments and working in matrix/agile project teams.

Competence & Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with a finance team, including financial reporting and dashboard creation.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with 7-8 years preferred.
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or related field.
* Demonstrable experience as a Visualisation Engineer or BI Report/dashboard designer on large scale data warehouse and/or analytics initiatives utilising enterprise class visualisation tools (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc).
* Demonstrable experience designing, developing and implementing visualisations in Power BI.
* Demonstrable experience with visualisations utilising Cloud-based platforms and data sources.
* Strong SQL (Structured Query Language) ability to view and understand data from common data base systems and applications (Oracle, SQL Server, Salesforce, SAP, etc.)
* Understanding of full life cycle development methodology.
* Demonstrated ability to remain effective and productive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
* Ability to provide after-hours BAU support as required.
* Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with agile style project management techniques.
* Ability to work independently or in a group setting.
* Excellent verbal and oral communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues from geographically distributed teams on all organisational levels.
* Demonstrate both business acumen and technological insight to execute our global data strategy.
Key Duties:
* Serve as a visualisation expert in Power BI and understanding market capabilities/trends.
* The position works closely with Business Analysts and end users to design, develop, test, and implement visualisations (reports, dashboards, interactive analytics) to effectively meet business requirements.
* In addition to project work, this position will also provide Business As Usual (BAU) support for the existing environment.
* Lead and participate in gathering business visualisation requirements
* Design and development visualizations in both Data Warehousing and Business Application systems projects
* Understand the visualization design needs for a specific set of data
* Build dashboards and reports accessing data from various systems based on business needs
* Utilise experience to propose and recommend new visualizations and analytics to drive business insight and data analysis.
* Develop and improve relationships with vendors, customers, internal departments, and other associated entities.
* Collaborate with internal and external departments to accomplish various tasks and projects.
* Provides ongoing Business as Usual (BAU) support for the integration systems as needed.
* To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation, in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act and apply the requirements of ISO45001.
* To apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and 14001, as appropriate, within the areas of responsibility.
* Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
