About the Hotel:
Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach is a premium 4.5-star resort style hotel overlooking the beautiful, white sandy beaches of Brighton-Le-Sands and Sydney's picturesque Botany Bay. The hotel is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and on track to be one of the best food & beverage, accommodation & event venues in NSW.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a proactive and guest-focused individual to join our team as an Assistant Night Manager. As the Assistant Night Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during nighttime hours. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's operations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Guest Relations: Welcome and assist guests during the check-in and check-out process. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with a friendly and professional demeanour
* Night Operations: Oversee all hotel operations during nighttime hours, including monitoring guest arrivals and departures, managing room allocations, and coordinating with various departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
* Security: Ensure the safety and security of the hotel premises, guests, and staff by regularly conducting security checks and promptly addressing any potential issues or emergencies.
* Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergency situations, including but not limited to medical emergencies, fire alarms, and evacuation procedures. Coordinate with relevant authorities and follow established protocols to ensure the safety of all occupants.
* Staff Supervision: Provide leadership and guidance to the night shift staff, including front desk agents, security personnel, and housekeeping, to ensure efficient operations and exceptional service delivery.
* Night Audit: Conduct the night audit process to reconcile daily financial transactions, verify room rates, and ensure accurate guest billing.
* Reports and Documentation: Prepare and submit regular reports related to occupancy, incidents, and any other relevant night shift activities to the hotel management.
About you:
* Previous experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a similar role.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
* Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Knowledge of hotel operations, night audit procedures, and emergency response protocols.
* Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
* Knowledge of local regulations and safety standards.
* CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
