Hightown Surgery Team Charter
We are committed to providing high quality, personalised, accessible health care for all our patients by ongoing development of our highly trained and motivated practice team, working together in an environment of trust, respect, growth, self-care, and kindness.
Main duties of the job
GP Training Practice, Banbury VTS. Also, Retainer Scheme, active First 5 group. Teaching Oxford University Medical Students.
We work to BMA guidance with 25 patient appointments per day.
We value and aim for continuity of care for benefit of both patients and clinicians but do not operate personal lists to accommodate the practicalities of modern General Practice.
7 weeks annual leave for partners/6 weeks for salaried posts.
In-house mentorship for newly qualified and returning GPs.
Primary care visiting service (paramedics), so GP visits infrequent and mostly palliative care.
Growing MDT; all the usual plus clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, ANP and physicians associate, physiotherapist, adult and child MIND Wellbeing workers, care co-ordinator & social prescribers.
We have 3 dedicated care homes with opportunity to be involved in ward rounds if desired.
Open door policy & informal catch ups over coffee/lunch. Weekly PHCT meetings. Strong culture of shared learning & personal development. Practice Social WhatsApp group for fun outings.
Workflow optimisation by data team, reduced admin for GPs.
Registered with the RCGP Green Impact for Health.
Close links with Horton General Hospital, across the road from us.
GP-friendly ambulatory care unit.

Job responsibilities
The duties of the post holder are to provide a full range of general medical services as contained within the National Health Service (Primary Care) Act 1997 and which will include home visits as appropriate.
As a salaried GP at Hightown Surgery you would be expected to support the partners in providing all Primary Medical Services in line with contractual and regulatory frameworks.
We would expect that you keep good clinical records on Emisweb using clinical templates and protocols at all times.
