Our cutting-edge optics, fibre-optics, acousto-optics, and Pockels cells are critical to medical research and applications worldwide. This role is based at our UK Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences in Ashford, Kent.
Role Overview:
This role requires a driven and flexible individual that can multitask, plan, schedule, manage time effectively and coordinate various tasks to tight time scales. You will need to be a verbally confident candidate capable of driving internal and external presentations using PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Taking ownership for a project and delivery of its output in a timely manner.
2. Appropriate management of cross-functional resources, ensuring the project stays on time and on budget.
3. Obtaining an in-depth technical knowledge of a project and its requirements.
4. Oversee the management of projects, ensuring they are completed to G&H ITL and the client’s satisfaction, on time and on budget.
5. Identify and carry out preventative actions to pull back project overruns.
6. Generate and update project plans.
7. Ensure the project follows company procedures and is developed to the correct regulatory frameworks.
8. Keep accurate project notes and financial accounting to ensure an accurate picture of the project's progress is maintained.
9. Process Validation and execution generation and execution assistance.
10. Identify opportunities for further work packets that can be proposed upon.
11. Periodic travel to client sites as the company’s representative, both UK and abroad.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
1. Degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering.
2. CPM, PMP, or Prince 2 certification (preferred).
3. Strong understanding of Electronics and Mechanics.
4. Experience with Validation, Verification, and technical documentation.
5. Proficient in MS Project or similar tools.
6. Capable of managing projects from verification to completion.
7. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
8. Experience with ERP systems and process validation.
9. 13485/MDR training (advantage).
10. Effective communicator, negotiator, and problem-solver.
11. Leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
12. Team player with a customer-focused attitude.
13. Able to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
14. Flexible schedule for international meetings.
