The role We're looking for a Utility Analyst to join our Strategic Asset Management team here at Southern Housing Reporting to the Heat Network and Energy Manager you'll help Southern Housing identify energy saving opportunities through monitoring and targeting and support the running of our group utility contracts. You'll ensure the timely receipt of our utility bills and work closely with our broker to develop reporting dashboards that key departments can access for their needs. You will be based at one of our main offices in either Farringdon or Sittingbourne, working 3 days in the office per week, to be agreed with your line manager. Key responsibilities will include: Analyse utility consumption data to identify efficiencies, cost savings and investment opportunities. Support the Heat Network and Energy Manager with the purchasing and procurement of utilities, including administering the day-to-day running of the organisation's utility broker. Ensure the timely receipt of monthly utility bills and escalate issues accordingly. Analyse and quality check consumption and utility bill data, identifying discrepancies and resolving with our broker. Ensure utility data is accurate and readily available for annual service charge estimates. What You'll Need: Relevant experience in delivery of utility monitoring and targeting, preferably within the social housing sector. Experience of working in a customer focussed environment and engaging with residents and staff; providing advice and support regarding the technicalities of energy efficiency works and financial models to deliver these works. Strong project coordination skills. Well-developed negotiation skills. Knowledge of how to develop utility monitoring and targeting programmes.
