THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION FOR 6 MONTHS
To provide a high quality, professional reception and administrative service to patients, doctors, staff, colleagues, health service professionals and others. To act as the first point of contact for patients contacting the Practice and to portray the Practice in the highest possible professional basis. To ensure that enquiries from patients are efficiently and courteously handled to the mutual satisfaction of the partners and patients.
Main duties of the job
1. Greet patients and visitors to the practice.
2. Book in, amend and cancel patient appointments in line with practice appointment procedures ensuring optimum efficiency of the appointment system.
3. Answer incoming telephone calls, ensuring calls are documented and redirected accordingly.
4. Explain practice arrangements and formal requirements to new patients and temporary residents, ensuring procedures are completed.
5. Produce repeat prescriptions according to practice procedures and ensure timely distribution of completed prescriptions.
6. Ensure correspondence, reports, results etc. are filed electronically in the correct patient record.
7. Docman process tasks & scan documents etc.
8. Regularly check tasks in Emis and action appropriately.
9. Check emails on a daily basis and process accordingly.
10. Undertake administration tasks as allocated.

Our team consists of GP's, Physician Associates, Practice Manager, Practice Nurse, Health Care Assistants, Senior Administrators, Reception Supervisor and receptionists. We also have a pharmacist based at the practice. We are a friendly but professional team of hardworking & dedicated people.

* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.

* Flexibility to work outside of core office hours.
