Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) installations and Health & Safety (H&S) qualifications. The successful candidate will oversee site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires excellent leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and company standards.
2. Oversee the M&E installation process, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure seamless execution.
3. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting site audits, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS).
4. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to achieve project goals efficiently.
5. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to maintain effective communication and collaboration.
6. Monitor quality control and ensure workmanship meets required standards.
7. Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and H&S training for site personnel.
8. Identify and resolve issues promptly to prevent project delays.
9. Keep detailed records of site activities, progress reports, and H&S documentation.
10. Enforce compliance with CDM (Construction Design & Management) Regulations.
Skills & Experience Required
1. Minimum of 5+ years' experience in site management within the M&E or interior fit-out industry.
2. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical installations and building services.
3. Recognized Health & Safety qualifications such as SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), NEBOSH, or IOSH Managing Safely.
4. Experience in managing multiple subcontractors and trades on-site.
5. Excellent understanding of CDM Regulations, RAMS, and H&S best practices.
6. Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings and specifications.
7. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and site management software.
9. A valid CSCS card and a full UK driving license.
