Job summary The catering department is looking to recruit a part time experienced Catering Teamleader to work within retail, initially at City Hospital, Birmingham or Sandwell Hospital in West Bromwich and then at our new hospital Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick in our Level 0 Coffee Shop. Applicants must have previous supervisor catering experience with high standards of work, be an outgoing, hard-working and enthusiastic individual that is able to work on their own initiative. Hours 22.5 hours per week Shift pattern Monday to Friday - 14.00pm - 18.30pm Applicants are required to be flexible in their approach to hours and duties and able to work additional shifts as and when required. Main duties of the job To be responsible for the supervision of staff employed to carry out a widerange of duties to meet the needs and expectations of all patient andcustomer groups, providing a high quality, efficient and effective service at all times.To promote and maintain best practice in all areas of the department ensuring catering services are provided in strict compliance with all food Safety Legislation and HACCPTo make a positive contribution in the work undertaken by the CateringManagement Team and to provide cover for senior colleagues as required. Duties include cash handling, basic food preparation, general cleaning and completing control paperwork and working a barista coffee machine also to be responsible for the day to day supervision and cost effective deploymentof catering staff ensuring maximum efficiency of resources along with maintenance of food safety standards and HACCP.
