About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housing Options Officer to join our team delivering end-to-end housing options services in response to an emerging area of demand within Crawley. We are looking for innovative and enthusiastic individuals, driven to deliver quality customer centred services. Key responsibilities: You will be delivering all aspects of the council's statutory homelessness duties, from processing homeless applications, providing advice, to discharge the housing duty. You will have: the knowledge and experience to successfully fulfil the responsibilities of the role an excellent understanding of the relevant legislation and statutory duties excellent verbal and written communication skills a proven track record of working with other services and professional organisations to support customers and achieve positive outcomes excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working collaboratively within the team/wider council Crawley is an exciting place to work, with a vibrant town centre and excellent transport connections. Our hybrid working arrangement allows a balance of working from home and at least two days in the office. Additional information Interviews will be held in person at our Crawley Town Hall location. Fixed term contract for 18 months. A full current UK driving licence is a requirement of the role. Participation in the Out of Hours emergency duty scheme for which an additional allowance will be paid.
