Our partner schools are constantly on the lookout for amazing primary and SEND teachers who can teach either EYFS, KS1, or KS2. They are committed to hiring the best teachers and can offer superb support for Early Career Teachers (ECT) or wider opportunities to experienced teachers. The schools are located all over London, so no matter where you are located, we will have schools local to you!
The Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will play a key role in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment tailored to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will develop and deliver differentiated lessons, implement EHCPs, and work closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure each pupil thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons that support a wide range of SEND needs.
2. Differentiating learning materials to ensure accessibility and engagement for all pupils.
3. Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies to implement EHCPs effectively.
4. Use innovative strategies and assistive technologies to enhance learning experiences.
5. Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches to maximise development.
6. Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS, with experience teaching pupils with SEND.
2. Experience working in a specialist school or a strong understanding of SEND best practices.
3. A deep understanding of Autism, PMLD, SLD, ADHD, SEMH, or other learning needs.
4. The ability to differentiate teaching strategies to meet individual learning goals.
5. A patient, compassionate, and creative approach to teaching.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, working closely with LSAs, therapists, and families.
