I am currently recruiting for a market leading brand based in Hertfordshire to recruit their first Head of Finance - ESG Reporting. This is a brand new and exciting role in which it will transform the ESG reporting in both the business and the industry. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the Head of Finance - ESG Reporting, will sit within the Group Reporting team and be an integral member of the wider Group Financial Control team. This is a new role looking to broaden the business' responsibility to bring in-house non-financial reporting including compliance with IFRS S1 and S1 and the new CSRD requirements. In this role, you will be prepare the business for upcoming non-financial and ESG reporting regulation and work with the business on best practice. Please note, this is a hybrid role with (60%) 2-3 days a week required in the office. You will: Lead the validation process for the annual report, providing ESG factsheets along with any other externally published non-financial information. Work with the legal and sustainability teams to confirm the scope of new CSRD legislation and the metrics that need to be reported & assured under this regulation Lead on implementing business processes that will deliver the required reporting. Co-ordinate with the business to ensure templates and complete and for all reported date, ensuring consistency to facilitate an external assurance process Be a key point of contact for external parties such as auditors Work with the ESG team to validity of metrics and the development of their reporting Keep informed on evolving regulation impacting the team Engage with and deliver other objectives as and when necessary You have: Professional qualification in Finance ACCA, ACA, CIMA or other applicable discipline. Post qualification experience of 5 years Some exposure to non-financial reporting, IFRS statutory reporting and working with external reporting bodies, including audit Experience of working in large FTSE, international organisation(s) Strong written and verbal communication - an ability to prepare accounting papers, policies and standards A track record of influencing and building strong relationships, with the ability to communicate and challenge key stakeholders at all levels in the organisation Experience of change management and implementation of new processes Please note, this is a hybrid role with (60%) 2-3 days a week required in the office.
