Production Planner
The Production Planner is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all manufactured parts for Corintech. The Production Planner will also be responsible for monitoring component delivery, documentation and tooling availability, ensuring the integrity of information on the 123MRP system and estimating labour costs for quotations.
Responsibilities:
* Overall responsibility for Planning and Scheduling of manufacturing works orders on the MRP System.
* Report on KPIs within area of responsibility, in particular progress against annual targets (e.g., Production Yield, Works Order OTIF).
* Ensure the integrity of information on 123MRP is maintained, and oversee correct operation of the system; reporting any anomalies or omissions to relevant colleagues/Dept Heads (as appropriate).
* Carry out regular reviews against UK 123MRP systems to ensure they are aligned with customer requirements. The reviews will require regular communication with sales teams.
* Responsible for managing and scheduling the production work to lists to ensure that the Team leaders are always aware of work to be completed.
* Monitor the plan and address stages that are slipping on their target deadlines. Report any slippages to the Production manager.
* Maintain close liaison with all departments to ensure continued flow of work to the Production team with no downtime.
* Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times with suppliers, colleagues, and other staff within the Cimsense Group, etc.
* Develop and implement strategies to optimize production schedules and improve efficiency.
* Analyse production data and trends to forecast future production needs and adjust schedules accordingly.
* Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components required for production.
* Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to mitigate delays and ensure smooth production flow.
* Conduct regular meetings with production, quality control, and logistics teams to discuss and resolve any production issues.
* Prepare and present detailed production reports to Production Manager highlighting key performance indicators and improvement areas.
* Implement and maintain best practices for production planning and inventory management.
* Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the production department.
* Ensure accurate and timely updates of production schedules and communicate any changes to relevant stakeholders.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to address any technical issues impacting production schedules.
* Ensure that all production planning activities are conducted in accordance with the company's quality management system.
* Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in production planning and incorporate relevant changes into the planning process.
Benefits:
* Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
* Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4pm
* Holidays: Starting entitlement of 22 days plus Bank Holidays increasing each year to a maximum of 28 days plus Bank Holidays
* Sabbatical: One month paid sabbatical after 6 years
