We are seeking an experienced Facilities and Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance of our manufacturing facility as well as the general upkeep of our three buildings and grounds. The ideal candidate is a steadfast contributor in both independent and collaborative settings, and finds satisfaction in rotating between creative tasks, administrative responsibilities, managing employees, and craft labor. This role includes managing direct reports and ensuring that all equipment, facilities, and infrastructure are in optimal working order to support our production processes and overall workplace environment. The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the three buildings remain in pristine condition, operationally and aesthetically, and ensuring all production equipment achieves the highest possible Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a close-knit team, with a focus on preventive maintenance, facilities management, troubleshooting, data analysis, reporting, and strategic planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage, direct, and motivate reports to ensure assigned work is performed in accordance with applicable reSAWN TIMBER co. procedures and practices.
* Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled repairs on machinery and equipment used in the production of our products.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with production equipment, implementing timely solutions to reduce downtime.
* Develop and manage a maintenance schedule to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.
* Oversee the maintenance of the buildings and grounds, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and other facilities systems.
* Ensure all maintenance and facilities activities are compliant with safety regulations and company policies.
* Collaborate with production staff to identify equipment needs, prioritize repairs, and schedule downtime efficiently.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, facilities work, and parts inventory.
* Assist in procuring parts, tools, and supplies necessary for effective maintenance and facilities upkeep.
* Utilize data analysis to track maintenance metrics, report on key performance indicators, and make informed decisions to improve operational efficiency.
* Lead and manage facilities and maintenance projects from conception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
* Develop a strategic vision for the Facilities and Maintenance organization, focusing on continuous improvement, equipment reliability, and effective resource allocation.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* A two-year degree in a science or engineering technology major.
* 3-5 years of experience supervising or managing personnel.
* 5-10 years of experience working in a facilities and maintenance role.
* 5 years of experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
* 2+ years of experience working with industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience with AutoCAD
* Strong communication, computer, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Coachable, team-oriented, and proactive
* Physical stamina for bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing and walking
PREFERRED SKILLS:
* A four-year degree in a science or engineering technology major.
* 3 years of project management experience.
* 3-5 years of experience working in a reliability centered maintenance (RCM) environment.
* 3-5 years of experience actively developing LEAN Manufacturing methodologies.
* 5 years of experience working in a discrete manufacturing environment.
* Fluency with AutoCAD
