Job Title: Head of Finance
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum
Working Style: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days from home)
Key Duties:
* Lead and manage the finance team, providing clear direction and strategic leadership to ensure optimal financial performance.
* Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly financial statements, management accounts, and financial reports for senior leadership, with an emphasis on analysis and insights.
* Act as a key advisor to the executive team, providing high-level financial advice on all major decisions, including business strategy, acquisitions, and capital expenditure.
* Take full ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and managing the reconciliation of variances.
* Closely monitor cash flow and working capital, recommending actions to maintain financial health and mitigate risks.
* Develop, implement, and enforce financial controls, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, compliance with tax regulations, and robust internal controls.
* Lead the year-end audit process, coordinating with external auditors and ensuring the timely filing of statutory returns and compliance with corporate tax laws.
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with key external stakeholders, including financial institutions, auditors, and tax authorities, ensuring effective communication and management of financial relationships.
* Oversee and continuously improve accounting systems, policies, and procedures, with a focus on efficiency and automation.
* Manage and mentor a team of qualified accountants and finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and development.
Requirements:
* ACCA or CIMA qualification (essential), with a proven track record of at least 5+ years in senior finance roles within a corporate environment.
* Demonstrable experience in financial leadership, having managed financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow at a senior level.
* Extensive experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts, statutory reporting, and year-end audits.
* Strong understanding of UK tax law and financial regulations, with a proven ability to ensure compliance in complex financial environments.
* Experience in driving strategic financial decision-making, including advising senior management on business strategy, cost management, and capital investment.
* Advanced Excel skills, with experience in financial systems and ERP solutions.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
