Permanent full time Office based role
Hours working rotating shifts Monday to Friday 6am - 2.30pm and 10am - 6.30pm with rotating shifts on a Saturday of 6am - 2.30pm.
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for a Goods In Logistics Operative for a growing company based in Selby, North Yorkshire.
The Role
The Goods In & Out Operative is part of the Goods In & Out Department reporting into the Goods In & Out Team Leader. Working within our Logistics department front office, the individual will play an integral part in ensuring seamless and efficient coordination of all incoming and outgoing deliveries and transport to/from the site.
Duties
1. Carry out various administrative tasks using SAP, including preparing and handling all relevant documentation.
2. Undertake sampling/testing of materials delivered or dispatched to/from site, in accordance with agreed procedures whilst maintaining a computerized record of results obtained.
3. Organise incoming and outgoing loading schedules in collaboration with the Scheduler.
4. Compile all paperwork dedicated to load including DGNs, Weighbridge tickets, cleaning certs, and CMRs.
5. Provide safe access/egress and control of vehicles/personnel for the Selby site.
6. Monitor and assist in outward loading and offloading of goods and materials as required for the site.
7. Ensure compliance with all Custom & Excise, GMP, FEMAS, Quality and AD regulations and instructions.
8. Actively participate in company quality, safety, and environmental programmes.
9. Take Health, Safety and Environmental ownership of yourself, others and activities within your areas of responsibility and raise all HSE concerns you become aware of, outside your areas of responsibility, with relevant managers.
Skills and Knowledge
1. Previous experience of working within a demanding and fast-paced Logistics department.
2. Proven ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and work with limited supervision as required.
3. Ability to operate SAP and PC-based computer systems is preferable.
4. Proactive communication skills both verbal and written, with a strong customer focus and 'can do' attitude.
5. Flexible and adaptable approach.
6. Must be computer literate (MS-Office/Outlook).
7. Work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining the ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.
8. Exceptional attention to detail.
9. Ability to work as part of a team.
