What will you be doing?
Bridging Beyond is dedicated to fostering connection, trust, and understanding in an increasingly divided world. Across the UK, growing polarisation is leading to hostility and even the demonisation of those with different perspectives, identities, or experiences. Our work addresses this challenge by running workshops, facilitating dialogue, and creating initiatives that bring people together across divides. Local authorities and public sector bodies have a critical role to play in supporting this work, whether through funding, partnerships, or policy engagement. We are seeking a trustee with at least three years of experience in local authority or public sector relations to guide our engagement with councils, policymakers, and other key institutions. This is a strategic role, helping Bridging Beyond strengthen relationships, identify opportunities, and navigate public sector processes. As a trustee, you will:
1. Advise on strategy for engaging with local authorities, councils, and public bodies.
2. Identify opportunities for funding, partnerships, and commissioned work.
3. Support the development of relationships with key decision-makers.
4. Provide insight into public procurement, policy influence, and local government structures.
5. Help us communicate the value of our work in a way that resonates with public sector stakeholders.
Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring Bridging Beyond can collaborate effectively with councils and government bodies, expanding our impact in communities that need it most.
