This role involves ensuring Health & Safety compliance across a key customer contract, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. About the Role: The Project Health & Safety Coordinator will act as the on-site Health & Safety representative, supporting compliance, policies, and best practices in line with company standards and UK legislation. The role includes risk assessments, audits, training support, and compliance monitoring, with a strong emphasis on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operations. Key Responsibilities Act as the on-site Health & Safety representative for a key customer. Support the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and ISO compliance standards. Provide guidance and support to operational teams on Health & Safety best practices. Assist with near miss reporting, risk assessments, and safety initiatives. Review and monitor accident/incident reports, ensuring accurate data recording. Conduct Health & Safety audits and contribute to H&S committee meetings. Present H&S updates and reports during operational meetings. Work with internal departments and customers on project reviews and implementation. Support manual handling assessments and compliance monitoring. What We’re Looking For Candidates must have: Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and managing MHE operators. A strong understanding of Health & Safety compliance in manufacturing or logistics. Experience in Health & Safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting. A practical and solution-focused approach to Health & Safety management. Desirable qualifications and experience: NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Level 3 Health & Safety qualification. Experience in racking inspections. Familiarity with ISO compliance and risk assessment processes. Training experience (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education & Training). Internal auditing experience (IMS Internal Auditor course is a plus).
