Paraplanner
Our client, a leading Wealth Management firm, is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join the team on a permanent basis.
As Paraplanner, you will provide support to the firm’s advisers in completing non-client facing tasks in relation to the preparation and administration of recommendations being made.
Role Responsibilities:
* Understand the key characteristics, risk, and features of investment products available through the firm, including general tax implications and costs incurred by the client in the context of transactions.
* Understand the total costs and charges incurred by the client in relation to investment products or services.
* Understand the characteristics and scope of investment services or ancillary services.
* Understand how financial markets function and how they affect the value and pricing of investment products.
* Understand the impact of economic figures and events on markets and the value of investment products.
* Understand the difference between past performance and future performance scenarios as well as the limits of predictive forecasting.
* Understand issues relating to market abuse and anti-money laundering.
* Assess data relevant to investment products, such as Key Investor Information Documents, prospectuses, and financial statements.
* Understand specific market structures for investment products and their trading venues.
* Have a basic knowledge of valuation principles for investment products.
* Understand conflicts of interest and how to manage them.
* Understand the company gift and inducement policy rules.
* Keep up to date with changes in company policies and procedures.
Key Skills & Experience:
* DipPFS (Level 4) is desired for this role.
* Excellent technical knowledge of pensions, investments, and protection.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the financial services market.
* Proven ability to work well both independently and within a team.
* Experience in producing high-quality, articulate, and technical suitability reports with strong compliance results.
* Maintain basic administration, technical knowledge, and qualifications for the job role.
* Detailed knowledge and understanding of the firm’s administration and client service requirements.
* Understanding of the provision of advice to clients in a compliant manner as detailed in the firm’s compliance manual.
