Industrial Manufacturing Engineer
Role Overview - The main focus of this role will be on the performance of industrial studies for future Aerospace industry client wing concepts. The studies will be aimed at maturing build concepts and the associated enabling technologies for novel wing structures or system designs.
Responsibilities
Use of CAD tools to design and validate integration and assembly solutions for system and structural components and deploying them into a wider digital mock up
Performing research and validation testing for technologies and build/assembly solutions by creating physical prototypes from digital models and testing them on a physical wing mock-up
Analysis and evaluation of candidate integration and assembly techniques in the context of the wider Industrial System (i.e. impact on factory flowline and the required jigs and tooling)
Liaison with design office colleagues to contribute towards trade studies for a range of systems and structural integration challenges (covering wing structure, fuel and inerting systems, hydraulics, electrical systems)Skill Set
Essential
Use of CAD tools for design purposes; ability to manipulate CAD models
Knowledge and experience of manufacturing techniques, assembly and fastening techniques and technologies relevant to aircraft design and assembly
Strong appreciation of aircraft system integration and assembly requirements, industry standards and certification needs
