A fantastic opportunity to join the shipping Kuehne+Nagel team in Yeovil.
YOUR ROLE
This role is to manage the processes for which you are assigned and ensure all processes for quality, safety, security, Health, Environmental, Team, Peers, Customer and applicable standards are discharged to the highest standard without negative effect on the service of the contract, without risk to people, plant or machinery.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure team productivity is measured and improving and ensure team are appropriately assigned tasks / or re-allocated so all operational hours are consumed.
2. Stay up to date with our Customers operating System.
3. Ensure collaboration, knowledge sharing and the appropriate and rapid movement of colleagues around the contract.
4. Process changes lead to an update of the SOP, Working Instructions as well as any relevant supporting material.
5. Accountable for the development and continuous learning of your team using the people & Organisational Development (POD) tools.
6. Main responsibilities are clearly defined and visible (e.g. every employee can identify his line manager from a displayed notice or org chart).
7. Ensure KN Quality management system is adhered to at all times and ensure customer quality processes are embedded with the team.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
1. Previous experience working in a modern warehouse environment, using computerised stocking processes.
2. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
3. Good interpersonal and team skills and the ability to communicate and interact with staff at all levels within the company.
4. Computer literate and competent in using company standard PC software packages and SAP.
5. Experience of budgeting processes, cost control and inventory management.
6. Awareness of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
7. Use and knowledge of the Leonardo Company Operating System, Health and Safety and Handling Procedures.
8. Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma Business Improvement techniques including KNPS.
9. Awareness and knowledge of the UK Government Security Classification System.
