Honeywell Lead AI Engineer (Software Architect) in Plymouth, Minnesota
Honeywell Aerospace Technologies (AT) is seeking Lead AI Engineer candidates to drive software integration and development of future AI-based products as part of a new AI/Machine Learning Center of Excellence (COE). In this role, you will be responsible for building and integrating the software needed for deploying future AI/ML products and solutions.
You will act as a bridge between the AI research teams and existing Aerospace product teams, integrating and deploying new AI models into Honeywell’s existing products with exciting new AI features, as well as introducing new products and capabilities.
Your contributions will play a central role in the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI solutions, contributing to Honeywell's commitment to innovation and cutting-edge technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead the integration, deployment, and software development associated with AI models to address specific business needs, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and robustness.
2. Work with AI Scientists to develop roadmaps and software requirements for AI solutions under development.
3. Assist product teams throughout Honeywell AT as they integrate AI solutions and upgrades to existing software in products.
YOU MUST HAVE
1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as robotics, computer science, aerospace engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience with software DevOps and software engineering.
3. Minimum 2 years’ experience deploying AI/ML solutions and setting up MLOps pipelines.
4. Experience with a range of ML model types including transformers, RNNs, and CNNs.
5. Experience deploying product-ready ML models.
6. Experience with Pytorch and Tensorflow.
7. Experience developing and deploying MLOps pipelines.
8. Running ML models within constrained processing environments.
9. Must be a U.S. citizen due to contract restrictions.

NICE TO HAVE
1. Experience working in aerospace or safety-critical systems (e.g., medical device, autonomous car) industry.
2. Prior work on software and hardware for safety-critical systems (e.g., FAA Design Assurance Levels).
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
4. Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving capability.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The annual base salary range for this position is. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. This position is incentive plan eligible.
