Job Description
About the role
The Design Principal is responsible for achieving excellence in design while at all times representing 10 and its design philosophy to the highest quality standard. The Design Principal is required to act as a primary point of contact to clients and external consultants for all design related issues. The role also involves managing the architectural teams, and coordinating with all other disciplines to ensure an appropriate, high quality architectural product is delivered on time and within the outline budget. They are also responsible for resource allocation and other systems necessary for the successful delivery of projects.

* Ensure overall profitability for design projects;
* Responsible for managing, motivating and developing team members.
Qualifications
* Degree educated – RIBA Parts 1, 2 and 3 or equivalent;
* Registered architect – ARB or equivalent in country of origin; RIBA or equivalent membership preferred;
* Project Management experience preferred;
* Min. 10-15 years of relevant experience with over 5 years in a management role;
* Previous experience in an office environment working as part of a team is preferred;
* Excellent design skills;
* An ambitious personality;
* Excellent management skills required for the coordination of the architectural teams, other disciplines, external consultants and the client team;
* Excellent planning and project management skills;
* Ability to delegate work effectively;
* Natural leadership skills;
* Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
* Detail oriented with a strong attention to detail;
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook);
* Excellent command of written and spoken English; Excellent communication skills are vital – both spoken and written.
