We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our client's dynamic manufacturing team. If you are a reliable, organised, and detail-oriented individual with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
* Pick and pack product for shipment to customers and other locations.
* Organise and move product to appropriate stocking locations.
* Perform shipping functions.
* Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
* Timely handling of returned goods and customer issues.
* Responsible for timely restocking of orders and receipts from suppliers.
* Manage the integrity of stock as a team through stock checks, system corrections, accuracy of pick and goods receiving.
* Move product within the warehouse as directed.
Requirements:
* Strong computer skills, including PC aptitude in a Windows environment (MS Office: Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software packages.
* Previous experience with ERP systems.
* Valid lift truck licence.
* Valid order picker training.
* Knowledge of or experience with continuous improvement activities and/or Lean Manufacturing preferred.
* Working knowledge of quality inspection.
* Effective communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
Qualifications:
* Commitment to health, safety, and environmental sustainability and improvements.
* Commitment to business management system (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001).
* Knowledge of or experience with 6S, inventory control systems, ISO 9001, and 14001.
