Medical Biostatistician - Transforming Skin Cancer Diagnosis with AI
Location: London/Hybrid – common sense approach to coming into the office.
2-3 days per week in office if you live in/near London, going down to once per month if based further afield.
Salary: Up to £45,000 – slightly higher would be considered for the right experience.

The role
As a key member of our team, you'll be a Medical Biostatistician contributing to the largest AI clinical research program in dermatology. Your role involves designing, conducting, and analysing clinical trials and epidemiological research, with a focus on eliminating data gaps. Collaborating closely with the Clinical Research Director, you'll shape the clinical research roadmap and oversee all statistical aspects of the program. This includes providing input on study designs, data quality processes, analysis plans, conducting analyses, and contributing to report writing and publications, ensuring a comprehensive and impactful approach to advancing our research initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Define statistical analyses for data collected from clinical studies.
2. Play a key role in clinical study design, contributing to protocol development.
3. Develop statistical analysis plans aligned with protocol and business needs.
4. Develop code for data analysis results and contribute to research publication.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, or related field.
2. Qualified medical biostatistician with over 2 years of experience ideally in industry (MedTech or Life Science/Pharmaceuticals) or working for an NHS institution with the desire to switch into industry. Someone from academia only would also be considered.
3. Experience in biomedical statistical analysis, specifically the ability to undertake multi-variable statistical analyses.
4. Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate complex material clearly.
5. Experience with R, SAS, SPSS, or Stata programming languages.
6. Postgraduate qualification in statistics, epidemiology, or health-related discipline (such as Public Health or Health Technology Assessment).
7. Experience in project management and presenting statistical methodology.
8. Experience in presenting statistical methodology and research results in a general medical peer-reviewed publication.
9. Experience in producing statistical tables for use in documentation submitted to regulatory and health technology assessment bodies (such as MHRA, FDA, etc).
