Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical or Electrical Bias

Your Role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our clients Engineering team at their Burntisland, Fife site. We are looking for a leader with excellent team management experience to oversee the Engineering Team and the success of the department.
The Multi-Skilled Engineer is primarily responsible for delivering preventative, corrective, and reactive support to the operations team across all aspects of the site assets and infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the manufacturing equipment.
As an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be able to complete designated preventative maintenance tasks, identify potential failures, and plan and execute corrective maintenance tasks. Identifying potential engineering/operational solutions to recurring failures and implementing resolutions will also be required. Experience in FMCG is desired.
Key Responsibilities:
* Utilize CMMS for maintenance management.
* Develop PPM schedules based on experience, existing PPMs, and breakdown data.
* Perform electrical maintenance, including PLCs.
* Conduct mechanical maintenance and assembly.
* Execute motor control fault finding.
* Perform electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic fault finding.
* Source and manage external contractors/suppliers.
* Build relationships with group CI and engineering functions to enable continuous improvement.
* Utilize data-driven approaches for maintenance activities.
* Conduct root cause analysis.
* Support the development of engineering technician colleagues on site.
An effective team member, you will demonstrate high competency in health and safety awareness, excellent attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical power systems, and the ability to interpret and amend technical, mechanical, and electrical drawings are expected. A problem-solving can-do attitude will be key to your success.
Due to the needs of the business, you may also be required to work weekends and unsociable hours, including nighttime.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering-related subject, ideally mechatronics, is required. Experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
