Farm Supervisor - Education
Location: Worcestershire
Salary: £30,000 DOE
The Job:
1. Oversee daily farm operations, including machinery, livestock care, and land maintenance.
2. Teach Rural Studies to students in Years 3-8 (no teaching experience required, just passion for farming and animals).
3. Plan and manage farm production and finances, ensuring progress aligns with budgets.
4. Maintain the school's orchard and market garden.
5. Organise school farm events and ensure farm activities meet DEFRA and health regulations.
6. Work closely with the equestrian team on field maintenance and event preparation.
The Company:
A well-established prep school nestled in 45 acres of picturesque countryside is seeking an enthusiastic Farm Supervisor to oversee its working farm. The farm, featuring cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, poultry, and horses, plays an integral part in the students' education. This unique role combines hands-on farm management with teaching students about animal welfare, sustainability, and farm management.
The Candidate:
1. Practical farm experience and strong technical knowledge.
2. Enthusiasm for working with children and sharing knowledge.
3. Understanding of government regulations, animal welfare, and health & safety standards.
The Package:
Salary: £30,000 DOE
