We’re seeking an outstanding Business Development Manager. You will be an integral part of our business development efforts, driving growth and success for customers in the packaging industry. Ideally you'll be from a B2B sales background, with a proactive and self motivated attitude. You will be required to generate your own leads and use your own initiative to generate new business.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
* Generate new business and develop existing accounts as required.
* Engage in high-volume outbound calling and email campaigns to generate leads.
* Identifying Target Prospects: conducting market research and discovering new clients.
* Develop detailed product knowledge and an in depth understanding of the UK retail and industrial packaging market.
* Building sustainable relationships with repeat buyers and large accounts.
* Identifying opportunities to promote additional business through existing accounts.
* Researching new contacts, to ensure lead generation, developing new business by targeting accounts, new markets, and outlets and developing relationships with key accounts.
Requirements
* At least 2 years sales experience preferably with a proven track record in B2B sales or the Wholesale/Distribution industry.
* You will have experience in cold calling and lead generation.
* Proven track record of successful new business development.
* Excellent level of literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Self motivated and driven to achieve.
* Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.

* Getting past gate keepers, through to the decision makers.
* Establish contacts with new potential customers.
