Join to apply for the Deputy Ward Manager role at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust.
Willowvale Ward is a 20 bedded female treatment ward. This is a busy environment and we seek a committed and driven individual to support with the day to day management of patients in their recovery.
We are looking to recruit a Registered Mental Health Nurse to fill our Deputy Ward Manager role. Experience in management is not essential; however, you must be motivated, kind, compassionate, and be willing to work as part of a team with a can-do attitude to be successful in this role.
We need someone who can offer flexibility to work with the challenges of working shift patterns across 24 hours a day, 7 days per week in a very busy inpatient environment. But in return, we will offer the opportunity and experience that will support you in developing skills and career development.
The post holder will be responsible for:
1. Assisting the Ward Manager in all duties relating to the overall continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care, and the setting of standards of care through audits.
2. Managing/coordinating, in the absence of the Ward Manager, and leading a team of staff while providing clinical advice and support as necessary.
3. Providing effective clinical management to ensure the delivery of a high quality inpatient service.
4. Ensuring that clinical practice within the area of responsibility is consistent with current knowledge and supports service provision.
5. Ensuring effective communication and working relationships with the Multi Disciplinary Team and other key providers – statutory and non-statutory.
6. Undertaking the assessment, planning, evaluation, and review of individualised plans of care in conjunction with the patient.
