As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to students with varying needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
- Assist in the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons alongside teaching staff.
- Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning objectives and build confidence.
- Support students with additional needs, including SEND and SEMH, in managing their learning and behaviour.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development.
- Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting their development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience to handle challenges and adapt to individual needs.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and manage behaviour effectively.
- A proactive and flexible approach to working in a fast-paced school environment.
- Experience working with SEND or SEMH needs is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
