Job summary WORCESTERSHIRE ROYAL HOSPITAL AVON 1 - ACUTE MEDICAL WARD JUNIOR SISTER / CHARGE NURSE BAND 6 FULL TIME - 37.5 HRS FIXED TERM 12 MONTHS This post serves as a development opportunity for a registered nurse band 5/6 to gain experience and skills within the role of Junior Sister / Charge Nurse on Avon 1 on a 12 month fixed term contract. Avon 1 is a 25 bedded general acute medical ward that delivers a high standard of care and support to acutely ill patients and on this ward, we have MDT approach. We aim to provide an individualised and supportive environment for patients in which to deliver this specialised care for acutely unwell patients. You will be expected to lead by example, infection prevention and control must be high on your agenda and providing evidence based care to deliver a high standard service to our patients and supporting families and carers. The successful candidate will be able to co-ordinate and prioritize care in a busy environment, working with a multi professional team of consultants, doctors and nurses. The ability to communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team is essential. You will be supported in this post by the Ward Manager and team.
