Job Overview
The Supremes Court have a unique job opportunity to join them at within the High Court in Dundee. The main role of the Support Grade is to provide support to Judges, Clerks of Court and all court users and visitors within Supreme Courts, including jury attendants and witnesses. The aim is to ensure the smooth running of all court business on a daily basis and to make sure that all court users have a positive experience wherever possible.
Your main duties will be to the High Court; however, you may be asked to cover the Sheriff Court business as and when required. Some of your main responsibilities would be:
1. Attending upon the Judge(s) for robing. This can mean walking up or down two flights of stairs.
2. Escorting the Judge(s) to and from Court. This can mean walking up or down two flights of stairs.
3. Taking charge of productions, organising and exhibiting them in Court.
4. Calling cases using the public address system.
5. Obtaining case reports and other authorities from the Library for the Judge(s) use and returning the same. This can involve stairs.
6. Maintaining the Judge(s) notebooks.
7. Managing and calling witnesses.
8. Managing jurors.
