About the Role
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Learning and Development Business Partner to join our HR Team at the iconic Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa in St, Andrews, the home of Golf and the home of great hospitality in Scotland. We’re passionate about nurturing our talent and providing not just jobs, but an exciting range of career and development opportunities for our people in keeping with our HOME core values. Working closely with our Director - Human Resources, this role is responsible for creating a people, learning and development centric support service to over 500 associates across our resort and being part of the global Kohler Company Learning and Development Team.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Development of training month/s and programmes within Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa including the coordination of speakers/presenters; development of training materials in line with the leading boldly guidelines
· Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider HR Team to ensure a cohesive joined up approach in relation to key talent development activity such as onboarding, digital learning, career development programmes and a full training programme in Q1 for all associates
. Work closely with the Human Resources Business Partners with exit interviews and evaluate and analyse continuous improvement to retain talent.
· Manage and facilitate the Company Inductions in conjunction with the Head of Departments to ensure it covers the essential on-boarding training required for all new hires to give them the best start possible
· To be a HOME ambassador for the Company and endorse the HOME values – Heart, One Team, Make Memories, Empower
· Think end to end in terms of approach, considering all touch points and managing the full project lifecycle for all talent development initiatives
· Plays a key part in the online training platform (Home Point) to build high performing associates across all departments, keeping up to date with latest external trends
· Assist with development a talent strategy in conjunction with the Director – Human Resources. Always remain commercial ensuring interventions are linked to the talent strategy and focused on the things that will make the biggest business impact
· In conjunction with the Head of Departments continually look for improved ways of working within talent across different departments to drive efficiencies including delivering an excellent on the job departmental training programme
· Assist with actively creating, delivering and promoting a range of development opportunities and resources which can be accessed by associates.
· Evaluate all talent initiatives and training course and use the data to drive future decisions and actions
· Assist the Director – Human Resources to design and develop a management training programme throughout the business which covers key areas of people management
· Build and manage relationships with local FE provider – Dundee and Angus College to provide our Foundation and MA apprenticeships and Dundee University for Degree apprenticeships
· Responsible for facilitating and creating associate engagement activities across the resort from associate engagement surveys, providing feedback and action points to managers, associate of the month and the monthly associate wellbeing newsletter
· Coordinating activities for wellness and positive wellbeing
· Development and implementation of a company mentorship programme
· Responsible for Learning and Development and engagement communications
· Organisation and involvement in key stewardship events
About You
You will be an enthusiastic, passionate and confident Learning and Development professional, who has proven experience in creating and designing, co-ordinating and delivering training material across a variety of business areas. Ideal candidate with have a relevant Learning and Development qualification or Train the Trainer qualification. Strong administration and IT skills are essential for this role. You will also have excellent attention to detail, a creative flair and first-class communication, problem solving, organisational and inter-personal skills. Ideally, you will have previous experience of working within the hospitality sector.
Salary
This is a permanent opportunity working 40 hours per week or we can offer 32 hours per week to be worked flexibly, Monday to Friday from 9 to with some evening and weekend work required depending on the needs of the business.
