As MWH Treatment’s service to its client, Severn Trent, continues to flourish into AMP8, we are looking to strengthen our Planning team with a Planner. Based in the Severn Trent, you will report directly to the Framework Programme Manager.
Our programme of work, across a variety of water and wastewater schemes, is expected to be in the region of £150m/yr.

An excellent team working ethos is essential to fulfil the job role. Travel will be necessary within the Severn Trent region to fulfil the operational support requirement of the business.
What will you be doing as our new Planner
As our new Planner, you’ll take ownership of several project plans, drive the project team to deliver to the plan, and challenge any delay and deviation. Working with Senior Planners, we can offer coaching and guidance for your ongoing development into a planning expert and help drive outperformance amongst the team.
Key responsibilities:
* Collaboratively develop and maintain robust detailed project plans for the full project lifecycle.
* Ensure project plans capture the full project scope and resources are considered and loaded as required.
* Pro-actively identify opportunities and risks in the plan and monitor the critical path and key milestones, advising the delivery team on any potential changes.
* Review and challenge supply chain programmes and ensure these are monitored and incorporated with the main project plan.
* Develop programmes in line with MWH Treatment planning procedures including but not limited to:
o Implementation of all required project and activity codes
o Baseline management
o Production of programme narrative for submission to client
o Schedule quality and integrity checks completed periodically.
Skills/Experience Required to be considered for this role
* Experience of working on relevant projects within the Water Industry.
* Primavera P6 experience.
* Understand collaborative planning processes, with the ability to:
o Interrogate drawings to implement efficient planning service to the business.
o Support detailed claims programme development and implement any contractual changes to the programme.
o Communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences.
o Work in pressurised situations to tight deadlines.
o Be adaptable as required to meet project objectives.
o Be curious and supportive to both learn from and support other members of the teams to enhance the reputation of the planning team amongst the business.
* Desired but not mandatory for this position is a technical degree in a relevant field.
