Role: Registered Manager - Children and Young People
Location: Preston
Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (with flexibility)

This excellent and family-run children's service has 6 residential homes in total across the North West of England - no more than 3 young people in 1 service and each home of up to 3 beds. The Registered Manager position has become available due to excellent growth within the service.
We are looking for a Registered Manager to join the team within a 3 bedded EBD children's home within Preston.
Previous experience of at least 2-5 years within a Registered Manager position or supervisory role working with and supporting children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties and challenging behaviours is essential for this role, and the ability to work across more than one service as staff are often required to work on rotation across services.
The role:
* The Registered Manager within this home of 3 beds is responsible for the children and young people whilst on duty. They are responsible for promoting a positive, safe, and homely environment for all young people and staff within the home. They will promote best practice and therapeutic parenting within their teams, in accordance with the service's policies and procedures. Along with this, it is the Registered Manager's responsibility to lead their team in the effective delivery of the care and support provided to the children and young people.
* You will hold an NVQ Level 5 Children and Young People qualification, or be working towards Level 5.
This may include:
* Providing a safe and caring home to the children and young people.
* To safeguard all young people in the Home and to ensure good safeguarding procedures and principles detailed by your local safeguarding board are in place and applied consistently at all times.
* To ensure that the Home meets the regulations set by Ofsted at all times.
* Work with the team to ensure that referrals and applications are made as and when necessary and within the set time frames e.g., Safeguarding, Ofsted notifications.
* Participate in training and take responsibility for personal development.
* Participate in team meetings, supervisions, and annual reviews.
* To carry out on-call duties as required.
