A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Lead within the Diabetes & Endocrinology Service.
The role will be primarily based across two sites: Accrington PALS Primary Health Care Centre & Barbara Castle Way Health Centre, although cover at Royal Blackburn Hospital and other ELHT sites will also be required.
As Administration Lead you will be effectively managingday-to-day operational duties whilst ensuring the delivery of effective and efficient administrative processes associated with the service.
Together with the Service Manager and Clinical Leads the post holder will aid in developing and assisting with the implementation of both short- and long-term business and transformation plans to meet local, regional, and national agendas.
The ideal candidate should have experience in managing an administration team who work in a customer-facing role. Have excellent organizational skills, and extensive EMIS Web working knowledge
The administrative lead will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure essential administrative functions are provided across the directorate, raising any concerns that may arise. This role will also support the Deputy Directorate Manager with data analysis and validation of key performance indicators for Diabetes & Endocrinology
This role will play an integral part in the continuous development of improvement programs across the administrative teams within the directorate and provide regular reviews of the effectiveness of the processes.
To ensure the provision of an effective and efficient administration service to support the delivery of services in Diabetes & Endocrinology, the post holder must be able to communicate, sensitively, and effectively with a wide range of people including administration teams, senior management teams, clinical staff, technical staff and other colleagues.
Line management duties will include day-to-day operational leadership and management, e-roster management, annual leave, sickness & HR processes, appraisal & staff training compliance.
The post holder will be expected to manage their workload, seeking guidance from the Service Manager as required.

Post holders are expected to work flexibly within their pay band. They should only be expected to carry out activities for which they are competent. Alternatively, they may carry out additional duties if they are receiving support or training to obtain the recognized level of competence.
· To be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of all administrative processes associated with the Integrated Diabetes Service.
· To ensure that the service collects and reports accurate performance data.
· To be responsible for the management of an effective Single Point of Access for all referrals to the Integrated Diabetes Service
· Ensure that all administrative staff within the service are equipped with the necessary skills, training, and competencies to undertake their role effectively.
Liaise closely with the Integrated Diabetes team, providing full administrative serviceand general clerical support.
Deputizing for the appropriate level of duties in the absenceof the Deputy Directorate Manager, supporting withdata validation, clinic utilization, and other ad-hoc duties as required
Produce formal reports, undertaking complex information analysis as required
Ensure accurate and timely validation and reporting of key performance indicators
Prioritise and allocate work appropriately ensuring effective use of administrative resources.
Support the Service Manager and contribute tothe Directorate waste reduction plans.
Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of administrative staff including monitoring of attendance and performance including initial stages ofgrievance and discipline; appraisal, acting as an appointment panel member; completing staff inductions; ensuring that appropriate training is delivered to staff; reviewing work performance, sickness absence and progress; work allocation and checking which will involve working outside of office hours on occasion
Provide high-level, high-quality administrative support to the service
