Job summary The Red Cell Haematology Day Clinic, part of the Emergency Department (ED) Bypass pathway, delivers a range of specialist services including blood transfusions, apheresis transfusions, and venesections. Operating from 08:00 to 20:00 on weekdays and weekends, the unit provides care for patients attending for diagnostic tests, planned therapeutic interventions (such as transfusions, exchange transfusions, and intravenous infusions), psychology appointments, and urgent reviews for acute sickle cell pain episodes, all in accordance with individual outpatient and pain protocols.
