Within the Army TLB Information Directorate, the Cyber and Security pillar has a diverse and highly capable workforce. Could you manageInformation Assurance policy? An exciting Higher Executive Officer (HEO) role exists in the Principal Security Advisor's (PSyA) Team working for the Senior Executive Officer (SEO) Information Assurance. We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join us, working within a mixed military/civilian team, to work on information assurance activities such as Secure by Design, policy formulation and compliance. This post delivers improvements on how the Army defends, protects and reduces its information risk, across the digital enterprise. In this role, you are an integral part in protecting the UK against external and internal threats and acting as a deterrence to ensure that our Armed Forces appropriate cyber defences.

Job description
You will support the Senior Executive Officer (SEO) Information Assurance in securing the Army managed and operated systems and networks. The role offers the opportunity to develop cyber security skills, develop management knowledge and expertise in a challenging yet supportive environment, whilst working with a tight-knit team of like-minded professionals.
The successful candidate will be required to:
1. Support, and direct the formulation and implementation of Army Information Assurance, cyber security including Secure by Design.
2. Support external and internal information assurance regimes.
3. Support the assurance of Army managed and operated systems, capabilities and networks to ensure policy compliance.
4. Work with the SEO Information Assurance on the management of Army Information Risk, and the processing of Risk Balance Cases to manage non-compliance with policy.
5. Support the Information Assurance lead for Army data loss prevention providing Governance, Assurance & Compliance.
Person specification
We are looking for a person with previous experience working in information security. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Desirable Experience:

A modern apprenticeship is a combined package of work and training. Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working.� This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance.
