Chef Job in HMP Prison Services. Summary: Work 38 hours a week, alternate weekends, in Milton Keynes. Assist and supervise inmates in the kitchen, preparing meals according to set menus.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivery of meals 3 times a day with a team of chefs and inmates.
* Assisting and supervising inmates in the kitchen.
* Filling out kitchen paperwork and due diligence.
* Preparing basic quality foods according to set menus.
* Effective and efficient food production in line with recipe sheets.
* Full knowledge of all menu items served.
Requirements:
* Resided in the UK for the past 5 years and have legal right to work.
* Pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
* Management of production to ensure minimal wastage.
* Maintenance of food levels and quality.
* High hygiene and health and safety standards.
* Capturing and recording consumed volumes.
* Assisting in shift checklists and discussing improvements with line manager.
* Training of new team members.
